  • Guy & Hinton® has acted for the Australian LPG Warehouse Pty Ltd in securing the exclusive distribution rights in Australia of a new breed of OEM and aftermarket liquid LPG injection kit known as the JTG™ system. This new system reduces emissions and increases engine power output by 10% by comparison to petrol combustion. Liquid injection, as opposed to traditional LPG gaseous injection, creates comparative kms per fill to petrol and also eliminates problems with cold starting. This technology is available in Australia subject to a patent licence negotiated by Guy & Hinton®. The JTG™ system will be available for installation in Australia to most makes and models of car in August 2008 from your local LPG conversion installer.
  • Guy & Hinton® advises that a new Patent Bill has been introduced into the New Zealand Parliament for its first reading. A draft Trade Marks Bill is currently before the Cabinet and will most likely be introduced into Parliament later in the year. We understand that the Bills are an attempt to bring New Zealand Patent and Trade Mark law and practice closer to Australian law and practice. There is no plan in the near future to reform the Industrial Designs legislation.
